A voice for the impacted population
“Friends of OneOhio” is a new advocacy organization dedicated to making sure that people been affected by opioids have a formal and significant voice in Ohio’s $1 billion OneOhio opioid settlement. Become a founding member. Sign up here.
Friends of OneOhio believes
- The impacted population should have significant representation on OneOhio boards at the state, regional and local levels.
- Opioid settlement spending should emphasize reducing overdose death and helping impacted families.
- Opioid settlement spending should not be used to stigmatize or criminalize people who use drugs or those who love them.
- OneOhio should be transparent and follow Ohio open meetings and public records laws, as required by Section 12 the settlement agreement.
Have asked three members of the Licking County committee to include people with lived experience to be included in decision making. Cannot get any committment.
