Please take this consumer survey on Ohio’s medical marijuana program
Harm Reduction Ohio is conducting a survey on how Ohio’s new medical marijuana system is functioning from the consumer/patient perspective.
Ohio residents who use (or want to use) marijuana for medical reasons are asked to take this confidential survey. The survey wants to hear from all people who use medical marijuana, whether legally or not.
Please share this survey so results include many perspectives. Results will be published later this summer.
Terrible! Prices are extremely high especially for those of us on disability! Why is it taking so long to issue licenses? I think once there is more competition the prices will drop but not as drastically as what product cost in say Michigan. Ohio needs reform already!
And insurance doesn’t cover it. Insurance covered my opiates. It covered my benzodiazepines but does cover the medicine that helped me get off of them!!!
I agree 100%
Too early to weigh the benefit or the harm of medical marijuana. The cost is insane, from what I have heard.
Way too high of prices, 50$ for 2.5 grams. When street price is 30-40$ for 3.5. You can get 1 whole gram for 10 to 20$ less.
We are paying some of the highest prices in the country for a plant that grows freely just about everywhere…
then they went and made a bunch of rules that only hurt the program. Some are great rules some are downright an injustice to the patients!!!
I’ve read multiple articles that suggest vaping cannabis will make a person addicted to cannabis in little time because the patient actually gets higher. Then they must repeat every 90 minutes to stay medicated. This is very expensive when compared to smoking where 3 puffs can last 4 to 6 hours.
They went and made the rules so we need scientific data to change the rules when there is barely any FDA based data to start with. They made smoking illegal with no evidence to back that smoking is dangerous. I think dabs should be illegal for now but these things should be easier to change.
We should get home grow for affordability.
I would like to see all cannabinoids and terpenes labeled and the amounts of each. Not just THC and CBD. Myrcene seems to be in almost every strain. If so does it need listed?
I would like to see CBD oils in the dispensaries
This is ridiculous. Pay huge amounts for physical, then card payment, then trip to store to pay 2x more for less potency that I can get on the street for much less. If they made it stronger with less cost, just maybe more people would buy. Certainly not worth it at this time.
Almost no dispensaries are open.
Prices are ridiculously high.
Not enough qualifying conditions.
This is not compassionate care, if so they would have allowed home grows from the start. Instead patients were thought of last and wealthy investors were thought of first. No other state that has a medical program bans home grows. This just gives law enforcement the ability to flex they’re war on drugs budget and harm good families. The way this program is being developed is immoral and unethical.
Actually a lot of other states dont allow home cultivation.
I lived in WA state for 2 years and started exclusively treating my major depressive disorder and ptsd with marijuana. It works better than any antidepressant I’ve tried over the last 20 yrs. when I moved back to Ohio 2yrs ago I wanted to get the medical marijuana as soon as the program was up and running. However, being on disability it was too expensive for me to afford the doctor fees to get it. Also there will be no dispensaries close to me so I have to drive 30-40 mins away to get to one and my car is not very reliable all the time. On top of that, now that the dispensaries are open and I see how expensive the products are there is no way I could afford those prices. I’ve also seen many many reviews that the product is not even very good. Plus they don’t have anything other than plant material yet. I’ve seen some oil cartridges at outrageous prices. I feel like the state is just greedy. They don’t seem to really care if patients are able to get their medication in a convenient inexpensive way. So I won’t be wasting my money on the card. The medical program in WA was so much better. Even better was that WA had recreational as well so I eventually didn’t even need the medical program.
The prices are too high you can actually get them cheaper on the street if they at least come down then more people would go to dispensaries and not to the people on the street but it does help me both mentally and physically
The cost is outrageous and unaffordable… $500+ for an Oz in Ohio vs. $100 Oz in Michigan.
I would like to use for pain. I had back surgery. But I can’t because I will loose my job. I’m hearing pricing is outrageous especially for people on fixed income. Finally a medicine with no side effects and can’t afford it. Shameful
Hurry up, get with the program
The prices are ridiculously high ,
I believe that we should be able to grow 4-6 plants ourselves at home…most people wont grow due to cost. Id love you apply for a legal card, but for what?? To be extorted out of my money… Ill keep getting it my way untill the state gets with the program…ohios program is a disgrace to those that wish to leave opiates alone…i had a opiate addictipn for years…and marijuana saved my life…no pain…and ive been opiate free for almost 2 months
