Conference at Ohio State, May 22-23
Still time to register
The Ohio syringe program conference agenda is now available — with speakers, panelists and times.
The conference starts Monday morning, May 22, with a presentation by Kailin See, who’s flying in from New York to explain how the nation’s first overdose prevention center (safe consumption site) works. The event wraps up Tuesday afternoon, May 23, with a Harm Reduction Heroes award ceremony honoring the best urban and rural syringe programs in Ohio, plus an award for syringe program Staffer of the Year.
The conference already has 125 registrants. (We expected only 75!) Still, late registrants are welcome. The venue — the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center at the Ohio State University — has plenty of space.
Registration is $75 for two days ($50 for one day). Registration includes breakfast, lunch, parking, educational materials and continuing education credits. A conference T-shirt is available for $25.
